Now, pension holders in Delhi will not have to visit government offices to get information about their pension. The social welfare department of Delhi government is launching such a mobile app through which pensioners will be able to know the complete status of their pension while sitting at home. Pension holders will now be able to access all the information related to their pension while sitting at home through the mobile app on their smartphones. This move is aimed at providing much-needed relief to the elderly and disabled, who often have to visit government offices to get information about their pensions.

MOBILE APP FOR PENSION

The mobile app will provide information about when the pension will be disbursed and how long it will take.

The aim of these committees is to ensure that every pension holder receives doorstep assistance. For the unversed, the Delhi government gives a pension to more than 4.5 lakh elderly people associated with the old age pension scheme.

MONTHLY PENSION IN DELHI

Persons in the age group of 60 to 69 years receive a pension of Rs 2,000 per month, while persons above 70 years of age receive Rs 2,500 per month. An additional amount of Rs 500 per month is also given to beneficiaries of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Minority community.

With the launch of this mobile app and the formation of District Facilitation-cum-Grievance Redressal Committees, the Delhi government is taking significant steps to ensure that pension holders receive timely and hassle-free access to their pensions.
